Description

A scene in Chicago, reflected in the glass of a photograph taken in Seattle. ..... With only a couple of exceptions, all the images I've posted from my Chicago trip were taken on that Famous Friday. Mark and Marilyn and I wandered the streets of North Chicago, and I took over 400 photographs. While I might post one or two more somewhere down the line, I'm pretty much done with Friday in Chicago! About time, huh? We were there in the middle of September, and it's now the middle of January! After a short intermission, I'll be moving on to Saturday. The images I captured on Saturday won't be anything like Friday's ... the two days were different in tone and attitude. Friday was more about the photography, and Saturday was more about the company. I bet you're glad I don't go on vacation very often! :P

I think you should go on far MORE vacations!! These coffee breaks were so much fun, a welcome break from all our wanderings, and of course, more foto ops!!

Oh, this is priceless...and to think I was moving dental equipment when this photo was taken! Ugh...but Friday NIGHT was fantastic, and there was good food. The funny thing is I think I saw that picture today. I went to the Post Office to see what it takes to be a postal employee (I have to apply online) and I stopped for coffee in the pretty part of Chicago before going to visit Corey. Well...I thing I saw this picture. Or one like it. It wasn't Chicago, and it was coffee related. But anyway, enough of that! This shot rocks. Completely. It's full of life, reflections of life, vibrant light and wonderful colors. I kinda like all of those things when they all come together, and they come together perfectly here! As for vacation pictures! I love every one of them! They're fantastic! As for this picture itself, well...it's superb.

LOL...actualy I would not mind if you would be able to go on a holiday. See the other side of the world through your pictures. That would be nice. About this picture. You so clever to see this, many ppl would pass it you don't.

A picture within a picture within a picture. Chicago through your eyes has been a revelation. I am up for more of the guided tour! Great mood, Clive

I did the math. If you were out and about for ten hours you were taking a picture every 90 seconds! I'm surprised your camera didn't burst into flame. Nice picture by the way. Great reflections. Like another world seen dimly.

As I do ALL my travel vicariously, you can keep 'em coming! This is a complex little masterpiece. Inspired by you I took some pics of reflections after the theatre last night.

Before I comment here, I've just scanned the last two or three pages of your gallery...you are really cruising at high speed. Now, for today's upload...it appears you've assembled layer upon layer but I do recognize this as a photo of a photo. This is really fun...I've zoomed in...and starred at the reflections to see what is going on. The two people must be behind you by a big plate glass window. So much detail to find here. But this has become one of your specialties...another form of light and glass. Well done!!!

How about Robinson Crusoe's man Friday? Or TGIF? Or Good Friday, Black Friday, or Joe Friday from Dragnet? And today is Friday. Mustn't overlook that bunch. In any event, a myriad of wonderful colors and reflections, on the cusp of abstraction, in this foto.

As long as I lived in MI, my fav coffee shop was Tim Hortons, and always trying to stay away from Starbucks... now, since I moved south, Starbucks is my only coffee brand...

As far as coffee goes, I prefer tea. :) But I love your reflection shots. I've become much more observant about reflections since seeing them. This one is so busy and full of life! Excellent capture! I have totally enjoyed all the "Chicago" shots I've seen. I look forward to Saturday.
