Description
below out of sight is Interstate 35 E and directly ahead is the current West end of Woodall freeway.the new construction is the approach to the bridge.from this angle to me the two connecting roadways does not appear to mesh.seems like the two railroads built from opposite ends that does not match when they meet
thanks for looking and any comments

Great shot Richard. One sometimes wonders when you see all the bits and none are connected how the heck is this all going to come together... We have something similar happening here and I wonder where and how is it is all going to come together bits going everywhere. Excellent photo of the work, looks like and eyesore on the landscape lol...

Imagine if the "Chunnel" builders missed when they met under the English Channel with their giant boring machines! Excellent engineering dilemma...but I am sure they have this all figured out. They just refuse to tell us...:)

Reminds me of a Talking Heads song: "we are on the road to nowhere" Strange construction but I suppose they know what they are doing...

I think that is the on ramp and the off ramps, but it would be amusing if they were supposed to meet. I'm sure things like that have happened in the past! I love all the glittery building surfaces here too!

EXCELLENT VIEW! It reminds me of shortly after I'd moved to St Paul, MN, trying to learn driving my way around a new city, very disorienting in the best of times; so I wasn't too surprised to hear then Governor Jesse Ventura comment on a radio talk show; "The way the street layout makes no sense, makes me believe St Paul was platted out by a bunch of drunken Irishmen" Just a memory OL
