This was taken the other day while Julia and I were out photographing our local buffalo herd in the snow. It's not exactly her favorite shot of herself - it was cold and wet and we'd been out there for a long time. But as I mentioned in my first buffalo pic, when visiting the buffalo with Julia they always come over to visit. Never happens when it's just me. She has some kind of connection with them. Some more info on this is at the above first post link. So I found a pic from an earlier visit when one came over and Julia was plucking out some sandspurs from his coat, and made it the insert here. The park people tell me this is most unusual, but it's quite common with Julia. The 2nd pic of this series shows some buffalo playing around in the snow, and can be seen right here.
