As i pressed the shutter, lo and behold, this Robin placed itself between me and the sprouting blooms.

You're obviously and rightly known in these parts as an excellent portrait photographer. ( We're due for another 6" of snow today, but yesterday we had about 12 robins in the back yard for most of the day in central NH USA)

Oh, this looks SO much like spring!! Kind of depressing as here in southern NH we are going to have some snow this afternoon into tomorrow. But then again, pictures like this give those of us in the grip of winter hope that spring is really only about two to three months away. That little robin is so cute! And the flowers look like a type of crocus, but I've never seen any grow that tall!
