I like the motion blur in this one, it really shows what this fellow is doing. This is just one of an endless supply of aerial maneuvers my little friends use. Here is how to differentiate Ruby Throated hummingbirds; mature males, of course, have the distinctive red throat, the feathers on a female's throat are a smooth cream color, and immature males like this one have a pattern of dark feathers which will later turn to red.
