Description
The Simca Aronde was a family car manufactured by the French automaker Simca from 1951 to 1963. It was Simca's first original design ( earlier models were all to a greater or lesser extent based on Fiats), as well as the company's first unibody car. "Aronde" means "swallow" in Old French and it was chosen as the name for the model because Simca's logo at that time was a stylized swallow.
The P60 Aronde saloons, presented in September 1958, had an all-new, modern-looking body. The estate was also updated with the new front end, but retained the earlier rear. A new engine, the famous Rush 1.3 L unit with a five-bearing crankshaft, was fitted to the Arondes beginning from October 1960. A 70 hp version of the engine, called Rush Super, debuted in September 1961 in two models - the Montlhéry Speciale saloon and Monaco Spéciale coupé.
This model is a PTT car of year 1962. Postes, télégraphes et téléphones (abbreviated as P&T, then PTT, then P et T) was the French public administration of postal services and telecommunications. Formed in 1921, it was split in 1991 into La Poste and France Télécom.
Une espèce en voie de disparition :-((

Belle réalisation! Elle me rappelle en outre des années déjà lointaines...

This looks like excellent modeling ! I once owned a Simca, which was the result of a joint venture with Matra. Well, well. But it looked nice too.

Terrific modelling, glad I never had one though, it looks too much like a hearse! [LOL].

It's funny, you don't realize how small they were until you get next to one. My mother had one and was talked into getting rid of it before she married my father in 1962. I always thought one would make an interesting hot rod :)

Bien, mon p'tit gars, très bien! T'as pas une Chevromet Bel Air du début des années 50 à nous montrer? J'en bave d'impatience!

Very nice mon ami! Have you ever thought of using a large (and not shadow-casting) white plane overhead to simulate a lightbox? That would yield nice reflections on the carpaint and chrome, and might work for the headlight look too. I don't know which software you use, but you might try disable shadow-casting on the headlight lenses so the headlights won't look so dark.

You did great!
