Description

This is an apophysis flame rendered in bryce. The first renders had jagged ridges and valleys, and though the pattern was neat, I just couldn't get the lighting to make sense of the rendered shadows...they seemed to be in all directions. Then...fearlessly clicking...I tried something called 'fractal elevation'...bahdah-bing! I thought this variations looked pretty good. Hope you see something pretty in it. The script is one Bunny sent out about the same time as Spiral-mania, but I can't find it now. The flame has been sitting around a long time waiting to see some action. sheesh

Scarab? I'm thinking a spider .. still encased in it's translucent egg. I don't think it's an earthly spider though, the ground it's laying on doesn't look familiar to me. The striations of the ground are strange, and it sends out strange vibrations .. where have you been traveling lady??? Okay .. this is totally wild! So you CAN utilize Apo flames as a little bit more then just a sort of flat background .. so you imported the flame, not the png file?
