Description

Well, since I'm a little dry on ideas this last week, I thought that I would treat you all to a short series of simple pin-ups using some stock poses. Please forgive the slight shift into commercialism here, I assure you it won't last forever. This first pin-up is dedicated to Pete (otherwise known here as chimera46). Pete is perhaps the best character artist I've seen here at Renderosity. His customized renditions of Six (from 'Tripping The Rift') and T'Pol (from 'Enterprise') are perhaps masterpieces - truly convincing appearances. I really wish I could not just create characters but look alikes as brilliantly as Pete can. I've really enjoyed his gallery over the years and I highly recommend a viewing. This rendering features morphs for NewsBabe Rene by mytilus and skin textures for Giana's Sunsirae character. The lighting is a mixture of infinite soft yellow with ray traced shadows mixed with a little diffuse lighting filtered with the beach scene probe JPEG that comes with Poser 7. The background billboard package I derived with two overlayed boxes scaled to the correct proportions. The labeling was created using GIMP 2.4 - it look me a while to nail down the particular shade of red. Tomorrow: Dentyne Green My thanks as always to the artists who have provided free props and characters for this rendering: mytilus for NewsBabe Rene morphs for V3. ISOP for the stocking from the Maid's Outfit for V3. geralday for the book prop. DAZ for Victoria 3. Other Credits. Vest from the 3 Piece Suit for M3 by the3dwizard. Sunsirae for V3 skin texturing by Giana.

Really well done ... and darn! I don't have any Dentyne at home. Thanks to this sexy product placement I'll have to remedy that situation. :-) This is a really super composition and render.

This is beautiful work with a very classic vibe to it. I actually like commercialism when it's vintage and this really does have that sort of vintage look: rather like the sort of Dentyne Pinup I'd find in an old magazine from the era when I was a kid voraciously inhaling such "new" television entertainments as The Muppet Show and a perennial favorite of mine Space: 1999 which still strikes me a brilliant, due to the set designs, costumes, and spaceship models created by folks who eventually went on to work on Star Wars. As a dedication this is not only fantastic, but it's a wonderful introduction to a gallery I haven't had the chance to check out. There are so many great galleries here that I know I've missed more work than I care to admit, but hey...I saw this and I like it. A lot! Great work.

Great pinup and I'm honoured to get the dedication, I can't believe I missed this one! I should say I've always enjoyed your gallery as well. Who would have thought I'd learn so much about the TTC on this site! Also, this is awkward to say, but I don't really like to chew gum!
