MojoWorld3pro/Paint.Net for postworking
Been posting the last few MoJo's in the Mixed Medium gallery because of the use of Mesh Models but noticed a lot of them being used in the MoJo gallery lately, soooo. Been playing a lot with Models and lights in MoJo lately, this was basically testing the waters using Point Lights to create a subsurface glow. Up till now all the lighting I've dealt with has been Sunlight and Ambient light. Point, Spot and FX Lights are a whole other Animal.
Title from the Novel by Alan Dean Foster
Thanks for the l@@k

3rd times a Charm I guess, first two Upload tries came out bad, had to resample resize to get it to work right, maybe it's my ISP ::Shrug::

Cool. The title reminds me of a Happy Rhodes song. Look her up on youtube, you'll probably like her!

Subterranean Triffids huh ? remind me not to forget to water my plants ! IMHO, it seems the postwork has made the contrast too strong, as the "Triffid" gets lost in the mountain range and also killed he point light effect, but I reckon you will get it right next time with bit more experimentation. Well done so far & ~Cheers~

Oversaturated too, Oil Well, next time

Lol.....Killer title man!!....Cool bit of experimenting Len!....part of the model is kinda lost against the dark terrain behind it....but those sub-surface lights have worked perfectly...and the addition of the "Out Of's" left-overs is a neat touch!....^_^.

Love the soft diffuse used & agree with the contrast/levels management, the saturation Personally...I like. Look at Wotans work, he uses heavy saturations with great results:) Love the skeletal meshes & the underlighting is a cool addition (works well for lava etc also:-) ). Nice work Len.

I like this composition-- the bold, stark horizontal realms of earth and sky...it's intriguing, it's telling us a lot, and yet revealing that it is "a mystery"

Cool experiment - keep at it!

Didn't Boba Fett get thrown into that thing in "Return of the Jedi"? LOL Pretty damned cool. The over-saturated look adds to the dark mood of it. Great job.
