A beautiful composition and a nice collection of rednesses... The fish... what's the catch with the fish? I often got fishes in my dream, but still I couldn't get their... meaning...

you've used red & communist imagery many times, although you also have an overwhelming presence of the church here, the gown of a high priest, the lace sleeves, the golden embroidery & ties, the elaborate head dress; and it's all brought together by military imagery, even though that 'tank' in center could be a machine part or the opening of a submarine or even some kind of old sci-fi space ship (because of the tanks to the side, which would suggest propulsion). You've put the military part---with a metal-hooded soldier---right where the head would be. And the head above---in the same tones as the man in the tank---is another of your images of a person in shock & terror. (And he has Mao in one eye, more of your keen Communist imagery. One assumes you know a great deal about Communist history, from your gallery.) And of course your signature fish (Cathy). And at bottom? Pure Mandi organic growth: It could be seaweed, some strange underwater creatures, ribbons of the gown falling apart and going their own way, etc. It just works as the "end" of the image. Another of your small but packed images, and suggestive of many Western & Asian icons of power, with your surreal images thrown in. And all woven into a small abstract. Wonderful work once more, Mandi. As hard as these may be, one gets the sense that you do them, now, with the ease of a master...
