Description

I did shoot this picture with wrong mode and it did come out rly dark and have huge amount of noise. But I kinda like the noise effect on this one, it gives old feeling for the picture. I tried this one in B&W also but it didnt work.

This is a wonderful picture--noise and all! Blue tends to become a rather noisy color when captured, but I think that is one of those mysteries of the color itself that adds an extra dimension to photographs, especially if they're digital. The noise looks like old age, as if the photograph in question was taken more than a decade ago and was left sitting in a drawer. I like that! The image itself is full of emotion and it also seems lonely. I've been watching and thinking about a lot of Russian cinema, and this exact picture reminds me of something I would see in a Tarkovsky film...it's bleak and full of natural "symbols" but it's also engaging. In short, I love this image and I am incredibly happy to have seen it. The title is perfect as well...it is a cold picture (because of the snow, the blue colors, the silhouettes) but that is also what makes it so strong. And the tree...yes...the tree...and even what looks like fence posts imply old age. This is brilliant work! Thank you for posting it.
