Description
This picture was about 7 years in the making! I finally got all the right pieces together to make it.
It started out as a VERY belated wedding tribute to Mr. and Mrs. M. Well, now that they are no more, it's ironic that I've made it but they are still my favorite odd couple!
I was very intrigued by Dita's vintage class and Manson's vintage inspiration.
From the very start, I imagined this as a painting, like the kind of formal wedding portrait you would have done in the old days, hence the filter treatment. I tried to do various types of digital art to express this idea but, it just wasn't what I wanted. Lo and behold! 3D has saved the day.
Although, Ms. Von Teese did get a nice "powder" airbrushing since I forgot to turn down the specularity on her skin before I rendered. As she would tell you, all girls know shiny faces are bad--and must always powder their noses. :D
