Description

This is a photo of Minneapolis that I have applied filters to. The original was taken early in the morning just as the sun was coming up and the photo turned out kind of blurry. It was not a very good shot but the reason I took the photo was because I liked all the different shapes of the various buildings. When I took the shot I had in mind using filters because I knew otherwise the shot would look boring. The filters help to make the photo look less like a photo and more like an image. The overall effect and what I was going for from the begining was to highlight the shapes of the buildings and the street. It is easy to sometimes over use filters on a photo but I do believe there are times when filters make a photo better by highlighting parts of the image and downplaying other parts of the image. I hope you enjoy the image.
