Hello you all!
Â
I was born in Montreal, but I live in Québec city in the province of Québec in Canada.
Â
I’m totally new to this art and any other art, except probably for my colourful imagination. But I can’t pretend being an artist. I will try my best because I saw a great deal of talented people in this great community of yours. It’s appealing and I hope to be able to do a bit of my share soon.
Â
My primary language is French since I’m a French Canadian (Québécois) so please forgive me if I do or did some mistakes.
As an instructor for many years (Canadian Army) I must say for myself J

So say we all!

Très bon éclairage. Sombre, mais c'est parfait avec le thème. Un seul petit reproche, l'orientation du regard. Il est trop près ou trop loin du spectateur. Par contre le reflet dans le regard est superbe.

This is really nice! Her pose and expression is cool. I would have had her directly looking into the camera. If you go into Poser if that is the program you use, click on the left eye then click on object and then click on point at, a window will pop up, click on main camera. It makes the character seem like he or she is looking at you. Nice work! Keep it up! You get better with each render!

Agree with Jules that it would have been even more dramatic to have her looking right at the camera (and her technique will work to fix that). Also given that you have a candle set close to her right side she should have more distinct lighting falling on that side of her body. A bit of rim lighting running along her right side would be really dramatic. I would shift the candle to her left, raise it up and then make a distinct ray trace shadow fall from her across the alter. Ok, hope no offense. Just giving some suggestions. Otherwise, the posing is very well done and she has a great expression of pure evil pleasure. It is a perfect match for your title. Skin tones are excellent for this character and those glowing eyes are wicked.

Gorgeous scene and image! :)
Amethst25
The pose she has taken is very well done! I love her eyes they do pop out! Not knowing what application you are using to render I can't advise you on shadows, but Julesart and brewgirlca are correct about having her looking at the viewer and shadows. I would also change the color of the light shining on the candel to give off a light color from the flame along with the shadow. Overall you are doing an excellent job, now comes the tweaking!

I really like this title, and your character and pose are just excellent! 'Julesart', 'brewgirlca', and 'amythist25' gave good suggestions. As for setting up the scene, It looks like she's standing on a table or altar, and it might be a little more dramatic to have the camera down where the viewer would be standing, and have her look down at you. But then again, it's your picture and you can compose it any way you want. This looks very good for your 3rd post, better than some of the stuff posted by folks with 50 or 100 images in their gallery. Just keep on growing with each picture, and we'll keep looking in.
