Description

As promised... Mt. Rushmore. I have lots to share ;) Sorry I haven't been around. I am taking care of some things in 'real life'. So don't be hurt if I miss your gallery uploads. I thank you for your visits and comments to my gallery :) I appreciate your comments a lot! It's Rainy here in Southern California, where it never rains.. lol.. it has been raining for days now. I am enjoying the rain.. but then, I don't have to venture out if I don't want to, and I don't live on a hill or near one. My previous upload, "Softly Sensual". Thank you for your comments and faves. If you haven't looked.. please take a look, I am so pleased with this shot and the one before :) Have a great day~ Hugs, ~Melinda~

Stellar POV employed to display the gorgeous colors and perspective in this pic of the beautiful and revered tourist site, Melinda! And, as a fellow Southern Californian, I thought all along that the rain falls only in Spain, and stays mainly in the plain.

WOW!!! I went here as a child with my family,my mom and dad, and 4 kids in the car, lol you can imagine the rest. My mom was raised in South Dakota, so we went their to visit her family, and I have so many wonderful memories of that trip, and seeing Mount Rushmore was definitely high on that list, thanks for sharing this, and it is beautiful. And thanks for your note, and concerns. My thoughts are with you as well. oh and stay safe and dry out there, its storming and raining here tonight as well.

What really strikes me about this shot is how SMALL Mount Rushmore looks...it's a diminutive little thing! Well...from far away, at least! I love the colors, especially of the sky and those varied and fascinating clouds. They're like random thoughts drifting through a very blue and very clear mind while more solid thoughts loom below. Great work and I love the sense of perspective! Hopefully "real life" isn't interfering too much with life, but I'm glad you've posted this! And I'll trade you snow for rain if you want!
