Great render ???? I've got one of these that after 48+ hours, I finally gave up and it's not all that complicated. Must be somewhere in your picture is the key to the other side of the universe! However it's a great scene of the progress box. LOL.

Wow, reminds me of when I started out using Inspire 3D on a Pentium III with 1 GB of memory.

Is that right after the pre-pass, if so it will be less time eventually , allways come up with a high time but drops. I hope it does the same for you :)

Alternatively, don't use the preset render settings (most of them are cr*p) and use a custom setting, you can get just as high quality with nowhere near as much time

Don't take this for granted, it only shows an estimated render time based on what is rendering now. So it would take 107 hours if everything in the render was exactly the same as what is rendering now. And listen to Frank, presets are bad.

Hopefully it doesn't actually take that long lol. I agree with Frank and Bruno, i never use pre-set render settings for a final render and rarely for a quick preview.

Hang in there I too just a large render (89 hours on a Win7, i7 with 12 gigs ram, 3000x2250 at 300 dpi). I think it didn't actually take the full 89 hours but it was close. Well worth it too. I hope you will post it when it finishes and I hope you don't lose power between now and then. Cheers!

Question is ... while it LOOKS great at the end in Hi Res.. Is life to short? Or are we just playthings on the great duckpond of life? Rob

I've got a render running right now that's 24% complete and says 135hrs left to go. But it is a huge resolution... Don't think I should've used global radiosity either. lol good luck with your render!
