Description

Heeling as she zigs (or is it zags) The USS South Carolina, BB26 feels the might of the Atlantic Ocean in moderate swells. On convoy duty she and her sister USS Michigan, BB27 protect the lifleline to Europe in the "war to end all wars". Models done in Wings. The rest of the stuff is pure vue with some help from the "Sea View" collection. Note: a commentary on these great "beasts" They have for the most part departed this world for one found only in the memories of a few or in a few pictures, plans and art. It was a different world they born into. I try to model them as they were. They weren't pretty but they had a beauty all their own. Comment always welcome

These early dreadnoughts had a classy style all their own. Fine render of what the ocean can do to even one of these beasts!

Your military scenes contiue to amaze with views unheralded and unstudied only to erupt from the possibilites as most interesting.

I love how you did those ocean waves. I feel like I'm there. Wonderful work. The modeling is excellent and I like the atmosphere, too.

I do not know how I missed this one before. Brill modeling and texturing, and the Vue scene is an excellent setting making the ship look both massive, yet strangely fragile(like real warships). Truly great work!

Wow, love the mood and realism in this one. I really like dark and furious seas. The man is only a guest in the seas.

It's deja vu to me, I know how life is inside the ship. Oh boy, those 4 long years. You've done such wonderful job having that feel of being out at sea, a creative masterpiece, a gallery that's a must-see.
