Description
I spend my nights in a winter solace.
I stand on the porch and watch the snow blanket the earth.
I watch in wonder as a world that was chaotic and full of tribulation becomes peaceful in a single moment of time.
I explore this world that has become foreign to me, for this is not the world I see with the reality of now.
I am used to a world that is full of suffering and cruelty that all the creatures of this world share in.
Now I stare in wonder and laugh as the snow falls to the earth and lands on my face.
I feel a tear drop as I remember the wonder and innocence of being a child.
The dawn is approaching and my body grows weary, I feel sleep gently pulling me into her arms.
I fight for a few moments more, for I can see now in my heart and soul the beauty of a single snow flake and the world around it.
I desperately try to hold onto the peace I feel and carry it into the new day.
As I lay my head down on the pillow I wonder how a simple snow flake could have changed the world that I see, or did it change me?
I gently fall into sleeps arms, the answer will have to wait until the next time I step into a winter solace.
For tonight I dream of a simple snow flake.
This is the first poem I ever completed; any feedback given would be appreciated.

You don't need feedback. Just write. Don't worry about what others think. Many of them are trying to figure it all out too.

The path is simple which makes it all the harder to follow, keep writing, I'm liking it.
