Nice family photo! I have always thought that the saari was wonderful. I love seeing all the different colors of the fabrics. There's a lot to be said for being able to wear a comfortable outfit and go barefoot!

I also find this image fascinating! The different expressions and body language! The children display varying degrees of curiosity and timidity. Except for the older boy on the bottom step. He already seems to carry the weight of adulthood on his shoulders. I notice the hands of the man and the two older women. They have worked hard. The man's expression seems to hold a challenge. But it is the older woman, sitting on the steps, who most captures my attention. Her hands are lightly touching as she stares into the camera. There is such a wealth of past experience on her countenance, and she looks very tired. This is a wonderfully image!
