Description

The alabaster skin of the Moon. This is an in-game render for a casual arcade game I made. It is basically a redesigned version of asteroids... with a lot more to it than that. This particular image is taken from one of the extra unlockable contents you can get in the game; an orbiting view of the moon. It is one of my favorite. The map of the moon, especially the bump map, came out beautifully. The marias and craters can be seen in great detail, and it actually looks better in motion. TO THE MOON Art thou pale for weariness Of climbing heaven and gazing on the earth, Wandering companionless Among the stars that have a different birth, And ever changing, like a Joyless eye That finds no object worth its constancy? By Percy Bysshe Shelley For those interested, the name of the game is "Protect My Planet!". You can play it, for free, directly in your web-browser without having to download anything. It is currently up at http://www.wooglie.com/playgame.php?gameID=167. You will need the Unity web-player plugin, but it is an extremely small plugin similar to a java or flash update. That can be found at http://unity3d.com/webplayer/. I promise, everything is 100% safe.
