Description

Here Hardy is captured with his first meal. These critters shells are only an inch in diameter. When they reach adulthood they should be between 5-7 inches. As to their genders, not sure yet, difficult to actually lift their shells and look :) They need to grow a bit so I can spot the differences in various body parts.

Lane was an inch when we got him and it was at about 3 years that we could determine with certainty that he was male. This dear turtle is really personable. Once again, I love the way the small bubbles cling to him. Excellent portrait.
