The Belvedere, a much under rated but very powerful and big helicopter.. There is one of these beauties at the RAF Museum, Hendon.. And it takes up a fair amount of space! One of my personal faves! Rob

There were several twin rotor helos before this. The Piasecki H-21 "flying banana" and Vertol helos before Boeing bought them out. Looks based on a early Chinook. What are the engines? Was this license built?

The tailplane had an obvious respect for the rear rotor! I believe 66 squadron had 12 of these creatures.
