Description

I have this rogue vine growing wild in my yard. As you can see, the fruit is not nestling in vine leaves but casually in lemon leaves! It has grown into the lemon tree... Truthfully, it picked the right tree because the grapes are so sour.... Yikes! I do like the deep purple color of the fruit though! Thank you for visiting and for your very valued support in comments and favs on my previous upload! Stay well! Hugs, Carin xx

Beautiful colors and contrast in this photo. The vine roots must have grown into the lemon tree to pick up the sour taste. :>) Dana

These look lucious...even though I know they must be sour to the taste. Great job on your part sorting the grapes from the lemons:) Sorry, I've been missing some comments...I intend to catch up:)

Beautiful color and texture. Actually a good visual combination, grape leaves tend to be a little spotty and ragged at this point.

Such a delicious looking shot, that was surprised to learn about the taste! The colours of summer, Carin! If I had no dogs I think I should fly down to you for a few weeks.

OMG, the purple fruit looks so appealing it's difficult to believe that it would be so sour. Most deceiving and silently predatory, I must say. In any case, gorgeous vivid colors in this stunning macro, Carin!

I tend to like sour grapes...not necessarily for eating, but because they're just so darn pretty! As a child I often thought that I'd become a jewelry designer just so that I could bedeck gorgeous women (Namely Barbara Carerra, the hottie of that time) in extravagant sour-grape creations that would ideally have sold for $10,000 per item. Ah...I thought big as a kid, especially in terms of grapes and the way they'd look hanging from Barbara Carerra's neck. Funny how today, Catherine Zeta-Jones has that Barbara Carerra vibe going, so maybe I should resurrect that childhood dream and design more grape jewelry for famous Welsh-derived actresses who do lots of T-Mobile commercials. Anyway, I've rambled on and on, when essentially I just wanted to say how wonderful this shot is. The colors are rich and vivid and almost decadent; this image possesses a kind of refined elegance that skirts the edge of decadence without actually getting sullied by it. I wonder if sour grapes make good wine? I suspect it would be a bit on the dry side, which is good for me! This is a luscious shot!

The grapes look so lush and yummy but a shame they don't taste so good. Try some potash on the roots for next year.

I immediately looked at the leaves and wondered. Given the title I was expecting a bottle... Chardonnay or Shiraz! Hmm... if you and Andrea get together, can I fly a few bottles up from the Cape???! Great colours, Clive
