Description

I wanted to create a scene that contrasted with its daytime beauty and instill all those childhood nightmares. I enlarged the moon and I think this gives the scene a slightly ominous and disturbing feel. Anyways 34 hours rendering on a quad core machine so enjoy. Best viewed full size.

34 hours!! Holy moly! It was well worth it though - spooky but beautiful at the same time! Last June, my wife and I saw ....something.... in the night sky over Kansas City that we couldn't explain or identify. Glad it wasn't these guys...

Wow.. you nailed the feeling. I used to drive to work at 3am all the time and I am very rural.. this is where I've been many times, only the aliens never came. I think they were scared of me. ;)
