I have been into photography for over 40 years, and the pull doesnt lessen. As a family we have always been keen walkers, and that gets you to some interesting places.Ive recently been to Southern India as a member of an adult support team with our local community school to Chennai so the camera never cooled down i can tell you, (watch this space). I live in Chard South Somerset, and have fairly recently converted to digital, at first reluctantly, but now enthusiastically. Its great to hear others comments on your pictures and i am looking forward to loading up my space. Alan. Almost through my first week and inspiration levels have rocketed, thanks for all those comments they drive me on.

All the people you show us seem so naturally graceful, including this gentleman. I love the way he stands in th centre of the compositional 'V'.

Nice shot again Alan. Is he a short Gentleman who needs a ladder to fit out some of his customers?

Interesting he sells sandals but hates them himself!

I will never in my entire life know how these people keep their long white clothes free from brown stains, dirt and general grime. I can't own a white shirt because 10 minutes after I put it on, I have ruined it with a spill down my front! The hems of these outfits almost touch the ground and yet they are always so very clean! Great shot of this man.

Excellent study of this gentleman. There is a calm, slowness of pace in this image. I wonder what thoughts were going through his mind. Pragmatic thoughts of necessary duties, philosophical thoughts on life, or maybe a drifting of the mind in a slow lazy manner, letting his thoughts go as they pleased. I like Andrea's comment about the 'V'. Excellent capture!
