Description

Been a while since I posted, hope all are well. Moving some boards yesterday I came across this Jerusalem Cricket. It was a small one as they go, only about an 3/4 inch long. Kind of cute at that size..lol No Crop, just resize. Thanks for taking a look. -Bruce FULL SIZE to get up close and personal.

What a beauty! I try to get this close to something to photograph it, and it immediately decides that it's backside is more interesting a photographic subject! Some people! As an insect lover, I really appreciate the details to this. I have yet to find crickets that aren't interested in...well...moving around, and this inspires me. I love the details, the insect expression on that oh-so-complicated face, and the colors are gorgeous! This is a beautiful piece of work!

My son asked me the other day why aliens haven't landed on Earth. I just showed him your capture as evidence that they're here already. Beautiful detail and fascinating subject matter, nicely captured. Very nice macro.
