It takes me a while to get around and catch up and I like to take time enjoying galleries. The best place to start is .. well .. at the start. Layer craft is not recognized or appreciated for the magic it can produce. There's no other look like the subtle build up of light, texture or color created through patient layering. We want to know what is going on all around her in this scene, it is like a whirlwind storm, but we must imagine and infer while our attention is drawn back, where it belongs, to her striking face.
