Description

Winter storm is moving out of Tulsa today. The Weather Bureau had forecast this beauty seven days in advance - memories of the bad ice storm December 2007 linger. Power line crews assembled in Tulsa from surrounding states well before the storm. As it turned out, Tulsa was spared the heavy ice, but other parts of Oklahoma are suffering. Last night, before the snow settled, we had 8 inches above a half inch of slush - today maybe 4 inches of settled snow. - - - - The lower left pic shows "mumps" over a few sweetgum balls (see inset). The shapes surprised me. - - - - Oops, typo in the title: should read "January 30, 2010."

OK, Dick...I'll be catching up with everybody for a few days. Love traveling but it is always good to get back to something of a routine. Got plenty of pictures taken but not many comments made. And phooey, I missed the weather system pictured in your collage this day. Thanks for the look-see.
