Description

This old girl served proudly during the Vietnam War. It still looks very modern to me, and was the first type of helicopter to be able to do a loop the loop (this is what I've been told anyway!!). Please zoom to see her in all her glory.

Helicopters took on huge importance during Vietnam; it's good to see a few have survived. And a loop the loop-- I have no idea what it is, but it sounds like a vertigo inducing bad carnival ride. The thought of it in a chopper---omg, i'd be turning green.

Ah.. The one that disappeared!! And very cool too.. Excellent picture.. Great helo... Not sure about first to loop the loop.. I remember a huge do in the aircraft mag's about the Westland Lynx, being the first.. That still holds the speed record.. Cool work my friend and amazing place! Rob
