Description

Here is another Quail photo. I just love watching them, they are so fascinating! So I don't normally make new years resolutions, but I do want to try and post at least once a month. It seems I got rather behind on posting last year, so I'll try not to this year. Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

I remember seeing these when I lived out there, they are so pretty, nice capture. Good luck with your resolution, my photo one is to take more or any morning photos, catching different lights. I tend to take most of my photos in the late afternoon, now if the temperatures here would just rise a bit I would be able to get out there that early. Nice work~~

These dumpy little birds are indeed a favorite to watch. I always giggle how they will race headlong down the side of a country road to get out of the way rather than take a short flight off to the side for a faster exit. They wobble on their fast moving feet as they scutter. But their color pattern is so lovely and the feather over the head gives them a very formal appearance. Fabulous shot!

I had the pleasant pleasure of seeing several of them one morning while camping in Arizona. Assuming they were Arizona quail instead of Califoria quail, but they looked just like these. Perhaps they were on vacation camping too. Your choice of sepia really makes this shot. : )
