Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh how bright and happy they are... Little dabs of sunshine! Funny, just this morning I thought I detected the slightest hint of autumn in the air! :)

Pardon me, but do you have any Dijon? Mellow colors and great contrast in this shot, Maz! The blooms appear to be bursting forth at the viewer.

Beautiful flowers!

This is very nice. I don't get to actually see mustard plants so this is kind of an extra treat and I like the color a lot. It's so not winter! This has good depth too, like you can look straight down past the blossoms and just keep going! Great work. Very nice color and composition.

Speaking of mustard. I just had some fresh cornbeef and cabage with mustard. Nice capture. Aloha

Gorgeous photo, really great shot!

This reads a lot like your barbed wire shot, in that it's close up and intimate and focused on such a single subject that everything else becomes abstract in comparison. I really like that effect, especially since it's so different from your barbed wire shot. That vibe though, that's what carries through from one to the other and I love it. The colors are wonderful too, and now I actually know what mustard blossoms look like. I've never seen them and you do them justice here. Amazing how something like this can come from such a small seed. There's even a biblical verse about that somewhere in that jumbled anthology...eh...I guess there's something redeemable in there after all! This is fantastic work on multiple levels and I really like the introspective feel of this one. Great work, but that's not surprising, your gallery's brimming with great work.

Yay indeed! I am so wanting winter over! Fabulous color. I have seen wild mustard but I don't think I have seen this particular flower (tho I am not sure) and certainly don't remember that awesome yellow!Gorgeous shot Marilyn!
