I cannot find the passage again that you turned to .. maybe someone will 'put down in their comment' what passage this is ... for I was to stop right then and then remind everyone that God is a just God .. the Lord is forgiveness ... and to tell you in my experience of a 'wildfire' that hit our mountain communtity ... from the highway all the way to door of our houses ... the grass and trees were burned up to nothing but ashes .. but, after the rains came ... that next spring ... the grass and the trees were the prettiest .. truest .. and purest green I've ever seen.
