Description
I created this in School recently, using Charcoal on Bristol Board. It was my final for my first drawing class in my life. In fact, I had never drawn before. I am pleased with the outcome and my improvement. I am too imbarrassed to post my first work earlier in the term.

the despair just screams from the page. this is a very well done piece as you have given the subject a life. your shading needs some work but i feel with practice, you will improve with time.. i hope you got a good grade on this.it is the face that steals me away....

I did get an A, and an A- minus the class. I learned a lot. Thanks for your advice. My teacher mentioned the same thing about shading.
