Description

Went out for a hike after a recent snow. It was an unusually heavy snow for my area (which wasn't all that heavy -- maybe 4-6 inches?), and so it was a thoroughly enjoyable hike. Although we may get several light dustings of snow each year, it's rarely worth going out to get pictures. This is a cascade on a local trail, downstream from a small waterfall. In the summer a huge blue heron usually can be found fishing here. Maybe this year I'll get a picture of him. Thanks for lookin'!

Very nice! The POV makes it look like you're in a canoe. I love the depth in this photo and the light is very winter-like. There's nothing like winter light, when you can actually get it.
