Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Oh Chip is going to LOVE this and I bet he will tell you immediately if it is a boy or girl woodlouse! They creep me out but I am fascinated by Chip's fascination with them! Great collage Helle and yes - a zoom is recommended! :)

Marvelous collage - the things you do to capture on memory cards these little creatures - I like durleybeachbum's comment - I like to see that too

Oh Helle, this makes my whole week! This is perfect. Like Andrea though, I want to see a video of you crawling around getting pictures of this critter! Woodlice do have the power to make people do some funny things. I am not absolutely sure but I think this little guy is actually a guy, the water-absorbing gill thingies are rather prominent but I can't see too clearly where the naughty bits are, but that's okay. Such wonderful details. Good species too...it's the "traditional" armadillo type woodlouse...which lives all over the world. I think the other very fancy ones you saw in your garden are only in Europe. You do great collage work and I particularly like all of the shots, but my favorite is the one in the middle. I like the woodlouse and those little fibers! In all of the shots, he looks so busy! I guess you would be busy too if you had to walk around on 14 legs, it would be hard work just keeping up with all of them an not tripping. I adore this and love the dedication! Needless to say I absolutely love this.

A great collage of this little fellow, they tend to get overlooked in life.

Oooooooohhh! What wonderful shots! And it sounds like you had SUCH a great time. :) I like the ones where he's right-side up, with all those armadillo plates showing. How fun this is!

So this is a woodlouse.. I kept seeing Chips and didn't connect it to what I have always known this as: A Rolly poly or sow bug. Great shots, and I love the picture in my head of you crawling around trying to shoot it... hehe. The things we do to get the shot! :)
