Description

Photo taken about a week ago. I was really hoping for a huge snow storm! But instead we got ice - not much but enough to close some schools and businesses. For me this was very mild compared to the 20 some winters I spent in Minnesota. I've seen/experienced snow, ice and cold there that blows the global warming theory out of the water. But I digress... Well, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that we get a really good snow fall before the season is over. What can I say - I guess I'm just really an Eskimo at heart! For some interesting information on Ice Storms see Marshall's post "Ice Storm". Thank you for stopping by and make yourself a great day!

Lovely captures of this ice formation. I'm not sure I'd like to be in an ice storm though.

Have had the same ice storms here in Northern Indiana...petty to look at...but the aftermath usually is devastating for the trees.
