Description

I was nerve for the people doing this. I live in a land of no hills or rocks even. They have to ship in the rocks if you see them. I do not like high places. never did. This is at the rim of the Grand Canyon. I took this last year when richardphotos and me when on a trip out west together. had a wonderful time too. not sure where on the rim this is but it just past the Indian tower they made there I think. here is a link to some imformation that you may like to read on the Grand Canyon http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/esp_orionzone_8h.htm#The Original April 5, 1909 Arizona Gazette article thank you all for everything

Great shot! Hight's don't bother me, falling isn't bad. It's just that sudden stop that I don't care for! ;D

I liken that to walking up to a bull elk so the family can get a shot of daddy petting it!

Just look at all that varied texture around the rocks and rim of the canyon! I'm sitting way back here but it still makes me dizzy looking at this awesome shot of the awesome ditch, Jock!

I'm with you, Jock. I don't do well with heights...even a 2-step stool in the kitchen will intimidate me. I couldn't get this close to a drop off without breaking out in a sweat. Fabulous view and great capture.

I made a nice long week of the Grand Canyon Once... There are many places that end in one huge rock overhang and many go out to the end to take pictures straight down. The problem with the Grand Canyon is that no picture does it proper. It is immense with the human eye in a way that a camera wirth but one lens can never do justice to. It just does not tyranslate well... the sense while looking over those overhangs however can be felt in the mind without even being there.. Just picture being on a 10 foot wide rock that hangs over the edge by 15 foot and nothing underneath you for about 2000 foot but rocky cliff sides... even 10 by 15 feels like standing on a 2 by 4. It is just plain scarey..... excellent work my friend...5++
