I've seen gray squirrels, red squirrels, even black squirrels...but never a white one! Reminds me of a character in an R.A. Salvatore book I just finished, The Cleric Quintet. The little guy's name was Percival. Are these white squirrels common where you are? He is just beautiful!!!

I don't think they are common here. In all my trek's here, the only white ones I've seen were at the Tallahassee Museum and zoo. They were running around free and they seem to like to play hard to get! LOL!

Never seen one but I've seen several on the opposite scale totally black, melanistic. Albino animals don't live long because they can't blend into their surroundings. :( It looks like a "semi albino" there is still a spot of black on its head and its eyes are dark and a slight brown tint to the fur.

Yep he got real big when I zoomed :) - He seems right at home there - must be a local. Ya know I shot a photo of one of these guys also - but instead of a well manerd pose like this - There was alot of running, scraping bushes, and heavy breathing ( not the fun kind ) Then all I got was his tail end scampering off and out of sight ! So nice Job getting this one ;)
