Description
Continuing on with the study of light and shadow in the woods.
As you can see, there are quite the number of people in this one spot in Fae Valley. Including the Lady Bug, there are 11 characters. add in the extra foliage from Lisa's Botanicals from Daz, that's quite the load - over 16 megs in fact. throw in spotlight with shadow mapping and softness as well as difuse, a distant light so as not to think we're in the dark and you've got quite the scene.
All things considered, it only took my computer about 6 minutes 18 seconds to render the entire scene and that includes the time needed for shadow mapping.
this was a fun scene to prepare.

Well I said I was gonna do a few pics from back here, and here I am unable to tear away. There's a lot of great stuff back here. My first-ever comments in your gallery were on fractals (which I found really creative and inventive). I just don't know why I didn' comment on more of these. This is a delight. The deep green here makes it feel like a protected inner forest floor. And the array of beings is delightful, not to mention the big bold mushrooms, the snail, and a number of photographic elements as well. A real delight, with light befitting an underwater scene, but it's clearly a forest. Beautifully done, Mike.
