An unsinkable battleship, but also quite immobile. There were some 16 inchers around the entrance to San Francisco bay, but there's not much left of those emplacements today. I'm amazed at the construction of these guns - the kick back and the aiming placed high demands on the construction of such a heavy barrel poping up and down like that. Though a silouette, this photo still brings that out. Nice pic!
