Description
This is Pretty Boy, a sweet little lovebird who was mistreated and lost a lot of his feathers. His new owner wanted a custom painting. I asked her if she wanted him with or without his feathers, and she said without, as she loves him just the way he is. To me he is perfect, too, and a symbol of strength and survival. I'm so glad Pretty Boy found a loving home.

Well done--incredibly well done as always! Whenever I see Irises I'm reminded of pages in a book for some reason and so Irises always have a particular appeal to me...yeah, and okay, I also have a fondness for the parasitic grubs that ruin them as well, they're cute but I doubt that anyone would ever want a custom painting of them! As for THIS image...I love every element of it, and as always, the colors and the textures are so incredibly rich and sumptuous! This is a perfect tribute to a tough little survivor bird! Wonderful!
