Wait, something's missing! Oh, I know, it's not in infrared! Otherwise, a splendid closeup portrait of one of my favorite, albeit expensive, vegetables, Kort. Almost looks like little artichokes.

This is fantastic! I love asparagus, though as a child I didn't like it; I think it had been overcooked or something. The one thing about asparagus that makes me feel guilty when I eat it, however, is the shape...the spear tips always remind me of the grasping appendages of some really extravagant alien creature, and so I always (even now) feel a wee tinge of guilt eating them, despite the fact that I adore the taste of asparagus. This is a great shot! Wonderful, rich colors! Great stuff!

Very interesting in that it approaches abstract in its overall pattern but not so much that you don't know what it is, and the dof makes it even more so.
