Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Oh my!!! You captured her perfectly! I know that face, and her personality shines in this, the reflections are most apt. Thanks for the share!

Hi Tara!

Very nice portrait. You captured a wonderful expression of good natured enjoyment. I like the reflections too, particularly the little squares going across her left lens.

I'm skipping around as you can see, I'll be back for others in the coming days. But I had to comment on this. Just as Tara did a wonderful portrait of you, you've done a wonderful portrait of her. You captured her gentleness, her engagement, her deep happiness when she's with people she loves (and seeing things that fascinate her), and that quiet all-present manner she has---which we all saw in chicago---that no matter where you are, she's 'with' you, I mean plain 'with' you. Everyone saw that, and you no doubt saw it everyday. It's not a big 'take over the shot' smile, it's a real 'I'm wholly at home' smile. (Even in a plane museum. After all, she did refer to plane parts as "bits".) And as far as removing the reflections from her glasses---boy am I glad you didn't! For the lady whose brought us more glass-reflection shots than the sun itself? Nyet! You, comrade, are honor bound to keep those reflections! I'm only sorry they didn't have "Seattle's Best" on them (fitting, huh?), along with images of skyscrapers, mountains and a few hundred friends as well. A wonderful, warm shot. You both did each other proud. A real joy to see.
