On February 5th 2010 our hearts broke when we heard that my husbands grandmother had passed away. She would have been 99 years old on February 18th of this year. On my husband and mines very first date (which was set up by my husbands aunt Jackie and my mom) we went to his family reunion in which I met the whole family. I was very nervous in meeting all his family, but they welcomed me as if I was part of the family. :)))) On a weekend every month his grandmother would have the whole family come to her and her husbands home for a nice family dinner, but where I was so shy I passed up alot of the good food that she had prepared, until one weekend my husband fixed me a plate and brought it to me and from then on out when I went to her home I ate. Thank you Gran Gran for all the love you had for my husband and his family. Thank you for that wonderful mac and cheese, mashed potaoes, fried chicken, and green beans. Thank you for all the homemade quilts you made each of us in your whole family. To this day we are still keeping warm under the ones you made for each of us. Thank you for calling me Laurie I will miss that very much. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for loving our children the way you did. Thank you for teaching us what you loved so much and that was the bible. Thank you for you. We each have a empty place in our hearts cause we don't have you here on earth with us, but we know you are in heaven now the place you spoke so much about, we know you aren't in pain no more, and we know that you are able to move about freely. We will miss you til the day we meet again. We love you Gran Gran with our whole hearts forever and a day. We thank god for giving us such a beautiful soul to enjoy. Love, Kip, Laura, Alecia, & Cody.
