Description

This image is a part of a series of images having the same motifs: the church, the path and the forest. This series of images depicts different mood states determined mainly by time and weather, from an artistic perspective. Each image conveys a tension determined largely by its composition and lighting. The feeling of emptiness is illustrated through the wide panorama which is mainly populated by leafless trees. The church is a representation of the human spirit isolated during hard times or at senectitude, the only connection to the rest being the bridge. The lack of colors and the subtle presence of red tones on the church represents the dramatic moment. The church is a 3D reproduction done by me after a real church which was built in 1725 by the austro-hungarian empire. The architectural style is late baroque, with simple ornaments. The real church is located across the street, where I live.

Gorgeous series! I love the moods of each one. Definitely amazing work. This image makes me even colder looking at it, yet would love to be at a place like this. Well done!

Simply stunning! The somber gray tones, the light off in the distance - wonderful. And how did you do the snow-covered deciduous trees? Those have always stumped me. Congrats on a truly breathtaking winter scene!!
