Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

As an Australian I can tell you that it is obviously made of 'Foo Foo' wood from the outback of Kilamundra. Nah sorry I'm just making that up I have no idea!!!! Great shot though.

Even though it is so simple as a maze, I would have this urge to go in! I like the way you cropped this.

I can only imagine my shot of that. You wouldn't be able to see across the top! LOL!

Very cool. Next time bring a box - oh wait, they might think you were bringing in a bomb... guess that won't work. :-)

Love the POV. Great capture!

I like the wood, the arangement of the wood, the presence the whole piece commands...but going back to basics...is the museum display art? I don't often think about that...but a museum exhibit for stacking wood? But Marilyn...your picture of it is...:)

Terrific POV employed to catch this maze in all its Aussie wood glory, M. And tight image cropping. I suspect a camera-equipped articulated periscope would have been ideal in this situation. Or a step ladder.

Very interesting subject and perspective, from above would be fun, but this is great the way it is!

Wonderful! I would also love to see it from above, but I think this angle is superb and probably more interesting than a overview shot. I like the close crop and the broad horizontal diamonds. I love the strong contrast between the top and the sides. Excellent capture!

Magnifique photographie!
