Does anyone no how to make magic effects look more real? I would apreciate any help on this or any other suggestion you might have.

offhand, all I can suggest is layer effects in photoshop, you might try posting and include a link in the forums here. expressions here are priceless!

What kind of magic effects are you looking for?

The magic rays and portals just don't look right to me. I used some brushes and made some fog, but I want something that would look more realistic and less painted.

)
