Description

The day after the Straw Bear Festival (photos of which we posted last month) all the straw from the bear is burned in a public display after a morning of music, dance and merriment. 'Bear Burning' on the Sunday leaves the way open for a new bear to be created from the next season's harvest. It's quite sad seeing him die back after all the fun he's had and the pleasure given to so many the previous day.

Is this all good things must come to an end? The consuming fire is interesting to watch even in a still photograph. Nice.
