Description

Saw this bright orange fungus while walking in the woods early one evening about 2 years ago. Later found out these are called chicken of the woods. Saw a few of them that same year, but have not seen any since. Not sure what the liquid forming in droplets on them is. It had not rained. The next day the drops were gone and they had shrunken in size a bit. Guess they were a newly spawned alien life form that first day! ;p

Fabulous shot! The liquid is just droplets of moisture that leak from the underside pores. A favourite.
