Yes it is I, ebsmooth, undercover of course... I scrapped the old gallery due to inconsistencies in quality and format. I wanted a more presentable, professional looking gallery. I submit the EricSBauer gallery for your viewing pleasure. BIOWith my camera I bring to you the gritty and sometimes dark side of life, the everyday things that are often overlooked. My mission is to find echoes of the past and give them a voice in the now, to find the beauty in all things "ugly".
Tools used:
Nikon D70 18-70mm
Nikon Capture 4: all I use this for is the handling of the RAW files. It can be done in
Photoshop CS but there is more options in Capture. This step consists of exposure comp and white balance adjustments where needed.
Photoshop CS: all files are converted to Lab Color to unsharp mask the light channel then its back to RGB for conversion to black and white. For this step I choose a channel mixer adjustment layer for the simple fact that I can make changes to the .PSD file if needed or if I wish to see the image in color. After all that I add a border, nothing fancy or elaborate, just a simple white border to emulate what the prints will look like.
The above steps are the same for every image I do post work on. The settings I use vary from photo to photo and always to suit my personal taste.
Prints of all my work are available for sale. If interested just drop me a line and arangements can be made.
And that's my story, what my photos and I are all about.
Thank you for your visit, it's very much appreciated!

Why does snow look so much better there than it does here? I love this shot and the POV is arresting. The snow is incredibly pristine and it still looks like snow rather than the gray slushy stuff it'll become. This has a haunting mood to it as well. Wonderful work on multiple levels.

You're lucky to be out there with all that untouched snow. It just looks so peaceful. Excellent choice on the B&W... it makes the untouched snow all the softer. Excellent shot.

Very nice when the snow isn't tracked up, makes the image seem more desolate, great shot!

Well, isn't that what it is all about? Snow covered benches. But very well set in scene, an excellent photo Eric.

This, for just a moment, makes me wish we saw snow this far south in Florida! But like I said.. just for a moment.. I dont now that I could stand the cold.though when I look azt this I can almost hear that soft crunch that the snow makes in the dead quiet as it falls! Excellent shot

Congratulations in LWITG...well deserved with this 'symphony in snow', especially venturing out, when not many would ! perfect composition in B&W, which I love. Cheers BB

Capturing this image before any footprints are there to mar the surface makes it seem like a very lonely place. Great image.
